Took some photos yesterday.. It was behind the shopping center near me.. However, it's a cut-through area for a lot of people and I had to take shots while cars were driving by. Some people gave me strange looks, but some of them gave the thumbs up.

That and I liked the name of the company on the side of the trailer. It seemed to fit in nicely for the Miata.

I only took one. I figured what the hell since I normally don't do crazy angles.

Canon 350D (Rebel XT) w/ a 28-135MM IS lens. The damned polarizer wouldn't come off before I started shooting... So I said eff it and shot with it on anyways.

nice. ive got a d40 with a 18-55 sitting in front of me to play with till my sisters BF comes back to pick it up. its pretty cool much better than my camera could ever wish to be. :(

i thought my camera was good till i picked up this thing

I know this is kinda O/T but how do you like the 28-135 lens? I've got a XS Rebel that I love, and I'm browsing new options for lenses.

It's pretty much my all-purpose lens. I had that, 18-55mm, and a 70-300 IS but sold the 70-300. Now the 28-135 never leaves the camera. If I could afford it, I'd probably take the 24-105L lens. (pipe dream)

Edit: The 18-200mm is a lens I've been thinking about for a while.

Looks good Chris. Moreso now that your oil cap is straight. ;)

I tell ya Chris, I love the 70-300, but it's strictly for a photo shoot our distance shooting only. Not a great walk-around lens that's for sure. Lol. I may get something in between the kit lens and that.

So first day of my trip to FL done. I found what was causing my suspension to rattle like crazy just before I left. The nut on top of the shock where the dampener adjustment was just finger tight. I tightened it down and no issues the whole way. The car drove a lot better and was nowhere near as rough as before.

This time I decided to take a scenic route. I went down I-81 instead of straight I-95. It's about an hour longer drive total, but I don't have to deal with NYC, Baltimore, DC, etc... Took a drive on CT-15 to get to I-287.. Wow! That was a fun drive. I driving along with another Miata owner. Good times!

MPG is just awesome so far... 295 on 10 gals and 273 at 9 gals. 50/50 top up and top down.

No pics this time around as I kept forgetting to get the camera out. I'll snap some today, but damn was it fun to drive with the top down at night. To be able to look up and see the entire night sky while driving was hella fun.

First casualty of the trip this morning... My TDR lip decided it didn't want to go to FL with me and is currently staying in NC. The nylon nuts sheared and it was dragging underneath. I first, I thought the transmission blew and was grinding.

It did pull the driver's side of the front bumper out and cracked the driver's side fog housing as it departed my car. No it didn't come completely off.. One screw held it on until I could pull over.

As for FL. I'll be in Lake City, FL for this time. Where 75 and 10 meet up.
