How to remove head unit?

Before I rip my dash apart, can someone tell me the right way to get the head unit out?

You should have gotten a set of "keys" with the car. You simply slide them in on either side of the HU and unlock it, slide it out and "bam!", you're done. I've also heard two butter knives will do the same thing. Oh, the "keys" were in a plastic bag in the glove compartment.

Snap off the plastic trim (after removing the face- its easier), then insert the keys between the HU and the metal cage that holds it in 1/2 way up. Lift up on them and pull out, the radio will just pull out of the cage. If yours is anything like mine, the wires will be barely long enough to get it out and it will be a huge PITA.
