uhhhh riiight. I said that before too. I thought maybe I was doing something dumb or not paying enough attention. It's not that. There is a big jump in gear ratios between first and second. That big jump means the syncros have to work longer/harder to mesh the gears properly. The stock fluid doesn't cut it as far as I'm concerned. Once I put synthetic in, it stopped completely. I don't know what the deal was with the low RPM/slow shifts that would grind. All I know is I don't have the problem anymore. You guys wait, you will grind again. Never say never.
