i was going to get MS pistons and i was told today that the pistons will not help at all unless i do some computer mods to change the A/f ration and so on..... i was also told trying to integrate a Jspec computer would work also....

how hard would it be to integrate a FSZE computer into the US mp3??? i know the jspec is obd1 and ours is obd 2... would it just be cutting and hooking up wires??? or is it more difficult for this?

if this is possible, who can i get a jspec computer from... does tripoint or corksport sell them...

help me out with enlightening me....

If Corksport doesn't have them in stock I am sure they can get one. Talk to Derrick @ Corksport, he is cool.

I talked to Derick about this before at Corksport, and he says they never have done this before. If anyone find a solution before me, let me know, cause I need it!!!:(

It's posssible, but my understanding is that the connectors and harnesses are different, making hook a little difficult. Wire colors may not match either, so you may need the JDM schematic and be able to read it as well. I'm sure the J-spec ECU isn't OBDII, but all that really means is you don't need the 2nd O2 sensor. Also the J-spec unit is still just a black box, and may not be optomized, so in my opion, it's not worth the cost and effort to install.

Our stock ECU is reprogrammable though, I just don't know of anyone that's decoded it yet. Superchips told me they'd get to it this summer after they do all the new domestics. Even then, its probably not going to get you optomized for the increased C/R, but you may be able to get some custom work done after that. There are other tuners that may be able to attack it for you, but only for a price. I also hear that there is a hard coded fuel cut off in the stock ECU that could end up being a limiting performance factor.

An aftermarket programable engine controler may be your best bet, if you are able to dial it in properly. The A/F curve isn't that hard to get right, but the ignition curve can be a b**** to maximize, especially without a baseline. But since you can change any parameter you need to, and add options, a stand alone is the most flexable choise available.

Either way, plan on some dyno time and keep us posted.
Good luck.
