Hi guys!
I was searching the whole forum and could not find my answer. How do I know if my MAF is dead? I have a check engine and car runs like crap so i use an OBDII to scanned it and I have a code: P0102. is this mean my MAF dead or one of the sensors?
Appreciate in advance with respond!

Go to the shop manual link in my sig and follow the troubleshooting procedure. Hopefully your familiar with using a volt/ohm meter. Here's another akward but to the best of my knowledge a fairly accurate means of diagnosing whether or not your maf is completely dead. Reset the pcm and see how long it takes for the CEL to come on when started afterwords. Hint, if the sensor is outright not working at all it will immediately trigger a CEL. Doing so is no substitute for the specified diagnostic procedure but it may eliminate some possibilities. I think your CEL is maf sensor circuit too high IIRC, that probably means you won't get an immediate CEL.
You might as well spray a can of electrical cleaner on the sensor to satisfy those 40 or so who will post that solution. Do a voltage drop test on the maf's wiring and leave no guessing unless your 100% sure the maf's 'dead'. good luck,

thanks for the replied. I have reset the PCM couple time, If i park the car and let it run IDLE, then i would not get the CEL but if i try to drive the car within 1st gear then i would get the CEL right away.

thanks

your maf isn't dead. If it was outright sending no input to the pcm you would have immediatly seen a CEL.(no ref. voltage ='s immediate CEL, ex. unplugged sensor will cause such) time to troubleshoot....
