I did the research and was told I'd have to modify the 12A cover.
??? I was told it was easier to use the 13B cover. wth?

Only thing that doesn't work from the 12a cover is the omp. Put a block off plate on it, premix like ya should be anyway, and you're there... Other than that, there isn't any difference.

Oil metering pump. On your car, its the place where the oil leaks from on the front passenger side of your motor. It had a linkage attached to the throttle control of the webers and two oil lines coming out of it, one running to each weber. Rotaries consume crankcase oil in the combustion process to lubricate the seals. If you premix your gasoline 100:1 with TCW3 premix oil, you can get rid of the OMP and its nastiness.(drunk)

Damn...that sucks dude....

And James, I wish I had your motivation. our fb is still sitting waiting for the TII engine/tranny to be put in. All I lack for setting 'er in there is a GSL-SE 13B front cover. Got one handy? will pay BIG $$$! :D

Listen to Dunc, hes right. But if you still want the SE, I have a couple I'll sell, minus the omp.

Yah, I figured he was, but the problem now is that we got rid of the 12A already. (doh)

You live in Louisville?

hmm...I guess you must know him from one of the MANY other forums he is a part of then. :)

Well I don't know if I can compare to the rest of you, but I've owned 3 2nd gen rx's. First one was a black '91 gxl. along with that came a white '87 gslse, that just needed a new fuel rail. after both of those were gone, I came upon a spectacular skylight silver '88
GTU. I'm currently having the clutch changed. By the way does anyone know of an easy way to have the shaft from the tranny to input into the drive shaft easily? we had a heck of a time getting it in. In fact in the process, we damaged the new pilot bearing and pilot seal. Anyway, love rx7 to the max! great car with a great motor.

You just need a good clutch alignment tool. The best alignment tool is the input shaft of an actual tranny.

Jduncan, i didnt ever make the connection on your personal forum, im Lexistreets on it, also like what your doing with it by getting us together torepresent KY at the revolution in indy

no problem. I just want to get as much representation as possible. The more the merrier is definitely true when it comes to most car events. :)

I've owned 2 in the past 3 years.

My first one:
