I had heard from Joey Joo Ja that taking the weather stripping off the back of the ehgine compartment would reduce the under hood temperature. I didnt think too much of it until I was stopping and adjusting my MBC in the near 100 degree weather and when I touched the hood it was very hot, then I went to grab the prop bar and it was so damn hot I almost had the impression branded into my palm! This car gets very hot under the hood. So I spent the 60 seconds or so it takes to remove the snap on weather striping and viola a dramatic drop in the under hood temps. I am amazed at the difference it made. I can grab the prop bar now after a hard run and not have my skin peel off and stick to it.
It looks to very easily reinstalled if needed.
Not one bit of hesitation of course I have never had any but the heat has yet to cause any trouble for me other than the under hood temps being lethal to human skin.
