How would moisture get to the spark plug?

The check engine light came on and a friend read it and the error said that cylinder 1 was misfiring. I had the same problem in May of 2023, just under 12K miles ago. So at that time, I had all new fuel injectors, coils, wires and spark plugs put in and the work was done at Mazda. Now with the new issue and misfiring, I took it back to Mazda. The diagnosis is that they found moisture by the spark plug. They dried it out and the engine light cleared. Then took it for a test ride and it did not come back on.
My questions are, does that sound weird or has anyone else had this problem?
Also, how could moisture get to the spark plug? The engine hood has been closed and the engine cover is securely on.

Thanks in advance,
Sue

Update - The dealer said that their theory is that when they did the work in May of 2023, they cleaned that cylinder because it had a lot of carbon buildup, and that it wasn't completely dry when they put the new coil and plug on and that's where the moisture came from. Does this sound plausible to anyone? They can't explain where else moisture could come from.

Sue, just aheads up, a good place to start with these types of questions is to define the year, model, engine series, and total miles on the vehicle.
It enables the people with knowledge in those parameters to respond definatively.😉
