ok i have searched and i was wondering if anybody has HID foglights. I have always loved to see what it would look like. Im just wondering if i did get an H3 hid kit for the fogs i i would have any trouble installing them
I think you'd have to be careful with the aiming and color. I think if you got the same or cooler temp bulbs you'd probably be okay. I'm also worried about them being considered "aftermarket" and not for street use by the cops b/c of their light output. Lets face it that would be a shitload of light coming out of your front end.
hella makes a kit for these. projector with angel eyes i think, as they are the original "angel eye" makers. $300 or so, fairly cheap. first mod i do on the car besides tint is HID for the headlights
hey man i have HID's in the fogs but i got rid of the fog housing and put in a set of spots with the h3 hid in them. there so nice but now my head lighs look yellow. if some one could tell me how i can post pics ill put them up or i could email them to u letme know thanx. And yah guys there realy realy F***en brights i can light up street signs up to a mile infront lol but b/c there a pencil beem if your in the slow lane coming head on and im in the fast lane they wont bother you.
Oh yah they are the Hella hid but i have 8000k bulbs in them
I think he's got the right idea. I mean, the stock housing has such a wide beam and is aimed so low the only improvement would be right in front of the car. If you're modding the car for show, just getting bulbs/ballast would be sufficient, but if you drive fast at night, switching to a driving light housing would be *much* better with HID. I should have remembered as I did the same thin on my wife's Cherokee [with halogen bulbs] cause the stock headlights stink.
