when i got my miata it ran fine, but then after filling it up and driving it for about an hour to a friends house, it started to hesitate/stutter when idling and taking off. it started getting worse the further i drove it. the next day i bought new headlights, plugs/wires, fuel filter, air filter and oil/oil filter. after i did all that, i started it and it would barely run when i took off if i slowed down to much it would die. i took a little break then tried to start it, it wouldn't start at all. one of my friends told me it could be the afm, so i borrowed the afm from my other miata. installed it and it still wont start, just looking for a little insight to what it could be.

also where is the best/cheapest place to buy a new miata soft top? last night my top got folded down and the rear platic window cracked. it already had a small cut in it when i got it plus it was a little hard to see through. for you other ga folks where should i go to get it installed

You could have a vacuum leak.

I got my soft top on ebay. It's a pretty nice top, and the price was right.

Dont know what the problem is but got a robbins top with a glass rear window attched rainrails and tension cable for around 400 bucks on ebay...I installed it myself was a b**** but not worth payin a bunch of money for...

CHEATER! You stole my idea

Yeah, check the intake tract for any leaks. On mine, one of the baffles (I guess... the accordion section) had a tear that went 1/2 way around the tube. Electrical tape was a great temp fix, then got another one to replace it.
