Help me find affordable rims/wheels for my MS6

Well, I just sent payment for a set of D2's with 2K miles on them 18x8 +48. $600/shipped! They would have cost $720 new so I saved a few bucks and helped someone out over at Mazda 6 club.

Now I've got to see about some tires. I may just transfer the stock ones over and get snows for stock wheels...but if I can find a cheap set of 225/40's on Craigslist I may go that route. I just sent an email to one guy selling tires from his brand new Audi for $300.

Well, I've got some bad news. The Rota D2 rims don't fit. They won't clear the front calipers. The lip with the rivits basically gives them the clearance of a 16" wheel. They should fit a regular 6 but even with spacers they won't be going on my speed6.

I was just thinking of something, I wonder if the Rota D2 in 19" (provided they have that size) would clear the calipers?

It would, if they made it in 19" but they don't. I thought of that yesterday and checked. The SSR Professor SP1 (the original design) comes in 19" but I have already determined that an 18" SP1 will fit just fine too.

I may end up grinding the calipers down a little tomorrow. Stay tuned. I just ordered Megan Racing springs too. Hopefully those will be in by next weekend. I don't know why I waited so long to order them.
