Hakido focus more on self-defense. I find more older people take hakido lesson, but not young folks. I don't know if I spell it right too =) Taekwondo focus more on kicking. A lot of kicking.

L loccusst Member : 2003 Yellow Mazda Protege5 Autostick Dec 2, 2003 #23 Thats why i figure on a mixture. If you practice only one then theoreticaly you leave yourself open. If you know only defense your attack will suck. If you study only attack, when trying to defend you will loose.
