Header for the SP20

if we go do it at homebush, we'll have to wait a bit for our engines to cool down!!!
and u know our cars get REALLY hot in the engine bay.

But thats a good idea syd_speed!

hehe i used to work around olympic park, and theres heaps of empty car parks that we could use, so long as theres no shows on at the time. theres some security patrols and ranger cars that drive around to keep an eye on things - they might find it a bit sus seeing a bunch of guys taking out engine parts in a deserted car park. hopefully they'll be cool about it once we explain things.
btw did u guys wanna do it on a weekend or weekday? i've got a week off work in early october *hint* *hint*

i cant get any time off during weekday, im a one man show here at work.
Hopefully ill have all my whiteline gear b4 this header install!

thats cool, i didn't think many ppl would be free during the week.
what whiteline stuff did u get and how much? u gonna install it on the same day?

ordered a front strut brace ages ago.

and we're getting matching front n rear swaybars developed for our car. (twilightprotege set this up). I live close to store so my car is the donor. total cost i got told was $660 fitting included, but thats the worse scenario...i got told they can prolly do for cheaper.

*cough* dyno time *cough*

before and after!

LOL i was thinking that too! Anyone know where in sydney and how much?

Yup shipping from US to Australia should only take a week or so, so if Ken sends them out by end of next week, we should get them by first week oct.
btw i'll be away during the labour day long weekend (2-4 oct) so it'll have to be the weekend after that.

haha i think alot of people on the forums are waiting for the dyno to see gains from the obx header!!!!

mid-pipe GB

hey hey hey!!! u guys seen this GB?

http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=81430

i was thinking of getting a custom midpipe with hiflow cat made after getting my header and catback, but this might be cheaper! what do you think? how much would it cost to get one custom made?

i'm thinking 2-3whp gain from this?

i'm not 100% sure if this will fit our SP20s coz i've noticed that the stock cat on the P5 is further back on the midpipe than ours. Their's is on the rear end of the midpipe (near the shifter) whereas ours is on the front end of the midpipe (next to the transmission)

yeh , i saw this GB as well.
could be interested, depends how much the same setup costs over here.

much cheaper here. i got my high-flow cat for $60aud (they are more expensive now)...obviously much cheaper than what you pay retail ;)

Hey ppl, I jus read about the mid pipe group buy. I have always thought that 2.5" exhaust is too big for NA cars. Isn't that the case?

it's on the i wouldnt go any bigger side of things.

i have 2.5" and until i get the ecu i'm behind. hell even with all the money i've spent on the engine, snert's car with just injen cai and full exhaust puts out the same power
