I mean you go look in all the books and magazines and all the articles about really fine tuned cars do you see injectors in the throttle body, I don't know maybe I am CRAZY.(hippy)

where is the secondary injector set on a rotary engine? I don't know if that is applicable... but it seems like every turboed rotary runs massive secondary injectors.

The RX-7 secondary injectors are located on the lower intake manifold and supply fuel to the two outer intake runners and ports. The primary injectors are located on the block and supply fuel to the two inner intake ports which draw air from the inner intake runners.

thanks, but i thought haltech can also support nitrous and does haltech not also control fuel and timing? basically are these features all the features that surpass the haltech? thanks
I am not sure on the details of what the haltek can do. But if i remember correctly the haltech that juan sells don't control timing. I believe he is working with a newer version of the haltech to control timing as well.

the F10 which is standard with the HiBoost turbo kit controls fuel only.

The unit I am interested in, the E6X controls fuel, timing, and a host of other things.

This is why I say where are all of the people running this system with bigger injectors and passing the OBDII testing.

Thanks again

Thanks for all your input everyone, I am closer to making a decision. It's been nice to have a civilized conversation all the way around when it comes to engine management and the protege without fighting and bickering.

Keep discussing amongst yourselves :D I'm listening.

Hey Folks,

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for keeping it civil, sharing your opinions and experiences, and briniging up good and bad points about both systems. I have made my decision and will be going with the Haltech E6X from Hi-Boost for a number of reasons. Bottom line is both appear to be great products from excellent vendors and that made my decision very difficult.

When my car is done, I'll post a thread with details.

Thanks Guys!

I was under the impression that the MPI tunner, if used for boosted cars, will only come into action under boost. Essentially firing the optional extra injectors and adjusting timing. At other times the stock ECU is doing all the work. Why is it then that people have had trouble with their idle? Just hoping to gain some knowledge. Thanks!

Actaully the kewl thing is how versatile it is. It can be used to only alter fuel & timing under boost. Or at all times.

I am runnin the mpi tuner. And controlling my stock injectors. I am able to add some timing down low to help turbo lag.

I used to have some problems with my idle. But i learned how to tune w/ the mpi tuner..and my idle has been PERFECT.
