Hail damage

I was just woundering if any of yall knew how to get hail damage out. we had a really bad hail storm here in dallas last weekend and i got some pretty bad dints. i even covered my car in old carpet. well anyways i think it is going to be less then my deductable so i was just trying to find some tips to fix it myself it that is posible. thanks a bunch

Here in Ontario, we've got a company called "The Dent Dr." they will come to your car, and remove small dents, such as hail.
They will come to your house, work, parking lot, intersection, whatever.
Cheap too (compared to a body shop fix)

you can knock out dings hella easy. If you feel the need, call around to body shops. Ding doctoring (and apparently there is a "ding dr." according to logan) is very inexpensive. Body shops will knock out dings for next to nothing.

It hails where i am too, sometimes pretty large hail. Does anyone know of anything that could be kept in trunk, and used to protect the weaker areas from hail damage?(hood, roof)

Thanks!
Daniel

my local mazda dealer was just having a sale on all their cars (including the mazdaspeed) 3000 off all their hail damaged cars, but they were so messed up it would cost more than 3000 to repair... kinda sad

hail

I am in Dallas too. My car was in the garage as I just finished painting the calipers when it started, no hail damage for me but my mom's 626 got a few dings. My other friend with a P5 has to replace his hood because of the hail. Another friend's car looks like someone took a hammer to the roof. Mines still in mint condition minus the keyed door and door ding courtesy of my highschool.

I also live in the Dallas/Flower Mound area and luckly for me my MP5 was in the garage, but my wife was out in Southlake, watching my daughter in a play and her 2000 Passat got hit pretty bad ... (I'm glad that it was my turn to take the shift to stay at home with my 2 year old son).

haha the best way to avoid hail damage is to live in cali.no golf ball sized ice falling from the sky here:)

S/Cp5someday, Im with you. The only ding I got was from the school parking lot but it's barely noticable. No doubt some Civic owner did it.:D

True.

:)

But as I remember it, I lived in LA for 15 years (Downtown for 5) and Laguna Nigeul for 5, depening on what neighborhood or freeway that you might drive on --- you just have to watch out for those drive-by shootings!

;)
