I'm in the process of hooking up my hids and I'm trying to figure out the plug for the bulb. I have a power and a ground wire coming from my hid bulb and its suppose to plug into the car's wiring connection (the christmas tree looking thing where the oem bulb plugs in) and there are three red wires on the back side that plug into the christmas tree; one has a green stripe, one has a black stripe, and one has a blue stripe. Can anyone tell me what these wires are? I'm guessing the black one is ground and green is power but I'm not positive.

um not that i remember, if it doesnt work, just flip them around and they should be fine

i believe they work either way but if you have a Hi/Lo kit then the hi beams wont work if you have them backwords

Alright had that problem solved and then I ran into another one haha. I got the drivers side headlight to screw in due to how the prongs lined up with everything on the base of the bulb. Now I can't get the passenger side in and its pissing me off because they don't line up the same way. So are these suppose to screw in or am I suppose to use the stupid spring thing somehow to hold them in? I swear these headlights are the stupidest designed lights I've come across.

really? if you dont know how to change a light bulb, you have no buisness installing HID's.

the bulb "prongs" line up to the slots in the housing, and the HID bulb is held into the housing by the spring clip. the ONLY difference between installing a HID bulb and replacing a standard bulb is the wires dangling off the back of the HID bulb.

I know how to change the bulb its just that the stupid clip is dicking with me. I took it off with the bulbs so now I have to figure out how it goes back on. I ran out of time to mess with it today so I'll get back to it sometime this week.

the wire clip should stay connected to the headlight housing, and just unclip and swing out of the way. if you removed the screw that holds it on, you did it wrong. changing a bulb should take 3-4 minutes, tops. installing HIDs can be done in 10 minutes, AT MOST, per side.

Yeah I didn't take the screw out, just the clip. No biggie I was just being dumb and rushing into things and not being familiar with the clip style lights. My dad knows how to fix it its just a matter of finding time.
