Having problems with my shifter today. Its very stiff to move throught he gears as it feels like there is silly puddy in the casing. Its so sticky that I can move the stick to the left (as if going in first) and not push it forward and it will stay. What is the problem here? I have royal purple fluid in there. Thanks

the exhaust heat is causing your shifter to expand, which makes it tighter against the bronzoil bushing... to fix it, you'll need to make a custom heat shield to go under the shifter and also just let your shifter break in over time

Could that heat just be from summer temps with the addition of exhuast heat? I have had the shifter for 3 years or so never had this problem quite so bad before even in houston heat.

interesting. How would we go about building this heat shield? I assume aluminum foil won't work too well.
