Guitarists?

Mostly pickups. But the neck shapes are different between them and obviously body shape. I used to hate P-bass tones but they grew on me. I'm still a jazz pickup kind of guy though. Not a fan of humbuckers on basses.
Why? Are you looking at a new one?
I had a jam session last night with some friends. I had to tell my guitarist buddy to turn down 3 times and my drummer buddy to tune his bass drum. I'm such an asshole. haha

Asshole, perfectionist, all the same lol. My Dad had asked m the difference and I honestly didn't know. I knew the pickups were different. I thought maybe string spacing? Intonation? I dunno. I have this Fender Bass

Haha! No worries. I was just trying to listen to a radio interview of my old band while trying to type an email to a customer.
My old band is playing with the Canton Symphony Orchestra Friday. Really wish i could've stuck around and been able to play with them with a 40 piece orchestra behind me. But I'm happy for them that they're still doing well. But I remember my singer/guitarist asking me "Well dude, you can work full time and have nice things or work part time, be poor and travel on the road with us.". I have nice things.

Good stuff. I one played a guitar piece with a full orchestra. It was a 3 movement piece called Chaos Theory. Here it is (It has 3 solos) so it was different for those parts of course

They did have some good tunes. Nice shows each time I saw you guys.
Must resist buying another bass... I would like a 5'er and am partial to the Fender Jazz style so I'm sure I would like it. Gotta play one locally first though. And sell my Warwick fretless.

I've had a couple 5'ers but none of them fit me very well (and my little paws). I might pick one up if I can sell my Warwick and Carvin rig on eBay.
I had this beautiful Elrick (hand made in Chicago) for a couple months but just couldn't get the tone I wanted from it.

Slap-a-da-bass! The construction was perfect on this bass and it was gorgeous. But I just don't like the boutique bass tone. It's all mids. I like my Fender bassball bat.
And my fretless Pedulla 5 I had for a couple months. I refinshed it (natural color, of course) very shortly after this pic. I loved the narrow string spacing and tone (even though they were Bartolini's) but sold it because I was broke.
And I don't know why I look all pretentious in this pic. I was reading the music. lulz.
