grill removal

For those of you who have replaced your grills, what do you need to do to remove both top and bottom grills? Do you have to remove the entire front bumper? Or can you get the grills to pop out?

The reason I ask is that I'm wanting to paint them. I want to get them off the car to do a thorough job.

i searched and i found instructions how to remove the bumper but not the grill. i think the top just unscrews and i believe the bottom pulls out? but i dont know how u would put the new grill back in.. anyone in here that can help? -=)

ok...thanx. So i do have to remove the front bumper. I guess it will be a whole weekend project.

No you DON'T have to remove the front bumper. That is the only picture that shows the lower grille removal. According to the pics, the grill should just pop out.

the directions say:
Radiator Grill removal
1. Remove front bumper
2. Pull tabs...blah blah blah
Front bumper mesh removal
1. Remove Radiator grill

wouldn't that mean you have to remove the bumper to remove the grills? Or am I reading it wrong?

you can remove both with the bumper on, the top is just screws and pop outs, the bottom just need to be unclipped from the upright bars, thats how mine came out
