GI: Replacement exhaust manifold

Awesome, and thanks for the reply, I have my heat shield all polished and its great, but I like the functionality with the looks and less maintenance of a ceramic coating, but we will see when the time is closer, if nothing else, like I said, I can get someone around here to do it if I look around.

Can't wait to see some pics.

So far no progress in the garage tonight. There's a pretty nasty storm coming through right now and I don't like to weld when there's lightning in the area. I'm not sure if I'm worried about potential damage to the welder or to me... There is no reason for concern - the welder is probably the safest piece of electronic technology that exists as far as lightning is concerned, but I just don't like welding when a storm is coming through. I am working on some logistics, ordering, inventory, etc... And I'm going to spend some time with CAD and try to get the intake manifold all drawn up so I can start flow testing it (in the software). If the storm passes I'll be back downstairs.

Perfectly unstandable, thanks for the update

Built two downpipes yesterday and started working on dump tube routing. I'm bad about pics- that's why I probably won't do a build thread on the spicy. At least one manifold will be in the mail this week, but I'm shooting for two. Ill post some pics for you guys this afternoon.

sweet thanks!

This manifold is done with the exception of final placement of the EWG fitting. I have to get my engine up off the palet it is sitting on so I can mount the manifold up with a turbo and downpipe so that I can layout the dump tube and decide on final placement for the gate itself. Here are the requested pics.

One manifold will be in Monday's mail and another will be on its way out mid-week. I was shooting for two manifolds, but I had to do two downpipes and a midpipe this week as well. I also learned the hard way that 304SS doesn't like to be tapped and that has added a pretty significant amount of aggravation to my life over the last few days. The solution - pay a professional (and I NEVER do that). I'll be off to the local machine shop after work on Monday. Here are the pics of the very nearly finished product. This manifold has EWG and O2. It's also shipping with another PEP toy :)

Be aware that this is all just sitting together with no hardware so if things don't look totally lined up or seated thats why.

holy crap that's sexy lol, I need to make some serious money soon, stupid car insurance and random other bills are holding me back!

Why didn't you use a vband ewg? They are smaller and are readily available. Tial doesn't make the 38/44mm wastegates in 2-bolt anymore.
