and if you are just figuring out that PB blaster is good for exhaust bolts, Im obviously not speaking to a mechanic...
I've got the full turbo-back w/ cat and resonator and I think it sounds amazing. But since this is a subjective issue I will go visit my brother and borrow his digi camcorder and take sound and video tonite and post them up as soon as i can for you to help you decide.vodapas77 said:Now, for those of you who have installed the full turbo back I've got a question. I'm going to have a custom 3" cat-back w/ an HKS CF-Ti muffler fabricated to mount behind my GHL DP. I got the catless version. So, should I have them weld in a resonator or not? I'm looking for a nice low rumble. I don't mind noise, but I don't want it to sound raspy like a lot of the Hondas running around. Any input would be appreciated.
Mine installed w/ no clearance issues on the S-pipe. I don't know what the difference is between mine and anyone who's having problems. We installed it the long way by taking out the radiator and manifold and everything cleared just fine. But I'm not sure that even matters.Bhamsan said:So now the s-pipe is going on with no problems? No more rattling? Thats what pised me off the most about Apex's DPs.
With the new Downpipe, all the bolts can be tightened with ease, no issues with reaching any bolts. I could have gotten that bolt off without using a chisle, it just speeds up the process. I actually broke it loose with a 12mm 8inch Wrench and finished taking it off with a chisle. I just told the chisle part cause it would be easier and faster.mx3ownzj00 said:sweetness. I'll have to measure mine once I get back to TX and make sure its all gravy.
03- how did you get the bolt back on that you chisel'd loose?
Lets get that how-to posted up! I'm very excited to see how it turns out. Right now, it looks like I'm just going to get a catted DP since I can't afford the whole turboback, so I'm hoping there won't be any banging issues at all, and fitment will be perfect around the a/c compressor.03BlkMicaSPD said:I plan to make a write up on how you can remove the stock stuff without removing the mani/turbo/radiator. i have started it and will post it in the how-to.
good deal. I'm looking forward to the how-to. i'll have to pick up a swivel rachet.03BlkMicaSPD said:To get the bolt off, I wouldnt even have needed the chisle...
