I was only adding fuel and retarding the timing when I heard it, so I wasn't leaning it out at any point. That is why I am confused, because my dyno sheet from before the mpi showed 10:1 up top. I was reading 13 up top when I heard it.
Anyways, let me get to my other news. I installed a prototype BOV just a little bit ago, and it seems like some of my issues are gone now. I replaced the stock BPV and left my open vent HKS. The new valve is recirculating, and I had to remove the IC pipe that connects to the motor, and my intake to route the return hose to the intake. I am not sure if I had a vac or boost leak somewhere in that part of the system, or if something was wrong with my stock BPV, but something is definitely better. Idle is back to normal, and the car is a lot smoother. The valve sounds awesome too.
The only thing that worries me is when I first started the car up after the install, the car died and cel came on. I pop the hood and realize that I forgot to plug my MAF and IAT sensors back in.(hand) I plugged them back in but still had the cel. I reset the PCM so I am kind of worried that the positive results might be coming from that. Remember that I have had great results every time that I reset the PCM, but the problems return after awhile.
