I've taken it two 2 different dealers who heard it, acknowledged it, and said they checked it out, lubed it, and fixed it. Yet I had the creaking problem still as I drove it off the lot. Is this fixable or a permanent characteristic of the MSP suspension? Just wanting to know - it's pretty annoying/embarassing, and I'd like to get rid of it. Thanks :D

Welcome to the wonderful world on Poly urethane bushings.

If they weren't greased prior to installation, the noises are permanent.

Complain to the dealer and tell them you want NEW bushings that are greased (White Lithium Grease is the best)

You guys live in a fairy tale world....or maybe just that your dealer doesnt give you s*** for everything. I complained about the creak and was told that it was natural and that it cannot be fixed. Once the weather hits about 70 degrees the creak starts. Very annoying almost to the point i dread speed bumps. Makes my car sound like a bad 87 cavalier or something...I dunno, still like the car but that noise is something id rather live without. Between the clunk..which i havent heard too much lately, the creak and the rust on my brake hubs this car just lets me down. Everything else is a go though..(knocks on wood). I have yet to get that coolant leak yet and im crossing my fingers in hope that i never will. Keep us posted on the creak fix.

I just got the clunk in the back fixed a couple weeks ago, and now that its cold I get a creak from the front:mad: . It really is annoying, but other than that she's running good.

My front suspension makes a HORRIBLE sound over the first few bumps on a cold morning...but it goes away after a few miles.

I'm not too worried about it...it's to be expected from such a firm suspension. And from what people have posted here, it's not even fixable.

its fixable with some lube. new bushings with lube usually last about 10 mos. (from my exp)

I was wondering if I was the only one who noticed the "creak"...

Here in Houston, we had our first really cold snap this week, as I pulled out of my driveway the other day I though the front end of the car was going to break off...the creak was LOUD. Hell, I stopped and got out thinking I ran over something in the road. It made some pretty loud noises for about 10 minutes every time I hit a bump, then it finally quit.

The noise seems to emanate from the area of the vehicle directly below the dash.

It's loud, that's for sure.

I've not had the "clunk" everyone talks about. I have though, noticed the spare tire bouncing around which makes a "clunk-like" noise. Took the tire out as a test and it quit making the noise.

phew! glad to know that im not the only one with this... i thought that it was from something i ran over on highway at 65-70 mph, twas a log

I had the same creak over speed bumps, very loud. Asked the tech to lube the front sway bar bushings with silicone spray when he had it up on the rack to do the rear bushings. No more creak. Both ends are fixed. :D

Silicone spray is liquid, so it should wick in to the bushings around the sway bar. Crawl under the car and give it a try. It will only take a few minutes and it can't hurt!

the grease that is included w/ all the Energy supension kits will fix it for 2 + yrs..........I installed a full kit in my previous car (civic) ....and did not grease 1 particular pair and the sound could scare small animals it was so loud.......took them out and re-greased them......it went away

not to mention that none of the ka-jillion other bushings that went in, squeaked.
EVER AGAIN (4+ YEARS IN CRAPY NEW ENGLAND WINTERS)
