FREE MPI help!

where would one get an mpi tuner these days? i noticed nick's not on here anymore as a vendor. hope theres other options than just the f/s section.

Thanks guys... One more question: I'm a lil confused as to what/how exactly the extra injectors set-up works. Is ti really an additional injector added to the fuel system? where does it go? couldnt I just get bigger injectors?

I guess it was more than 1 question...

the extra injectors will be welded onto your hardpipes right before the throttle body and spray into the pipe. if you get the dual extra injector setup you will then have 4 primary injectors and 2 extra injectors--> 6 total injectors. nick and big timm advise against getting larger injectors. the mpi is much easier to tune with when adding extra injectors.

The ones I posted. I bet your turbo module is missing the green wire. Let me know if it does. Just have to add a different step.

For the bigger injectors, just run the stockies. When you get a bigger injector that sprays more fuel, the ecu wont know the difference and it will bog bad.

The nice thing about the mpi is it lets the stock ecu still run the car, So everything works.

Tim, yup, had the older setup.

Well I'm not sure which box is the turbo module but both the black and the gray boxes have at least one green wire.

Another Q about the extra injector set-up:
How do I get fuel to the extra injector?
Do I split the fuel line before the fuel rail or what?
Would that reduce the amount of fuel going to the primary injectors?

you put the extra injectors inline with the stock, and no it won't take away from the others.

What exactly do u mean inline?
Does anyone have pics of this set-up?

There is how I had mine. You take the feed line to the rail and run it to the xtra injectros then out and back into the stock rail. That way you are taking what you need when you need it. The fuel pressure stays the same.

In this pic, I had the older setup that just tee'd into the line to the rail. Now they come with a "pass through" rail that just goes inline from the fuel supply from the tank and the stock rail.

Where can I get a tiny fuel rail like that?

BTW why do the wires coming out of the injectors look like cooking cord?
Arent those supposed to be wires from the MPI?

Is there anyone in FL running the MPI?
I really need to talk to someone and see this stuff in person.

I can take a pic of my set up. It has the fuel pass through.

You can get it from Nick.

My wires look different, but those look pretty beefy.

will u take a pic i would appreciate it. thanks!

The negative of the injectors goes to an MPI wire. The positive of then injectors goes to a 12v source. The MPI grounds the injectors to fire them.
