FREE MPI help!

Cool thanks. Luda is installing this into my car for me but were having a hard time with it. Well hopefully we can figure this out soon, I'm missing my car already.

The Link Moeed posted (you da man moeed) are the pics I took as I installed one, so do it just like that. Some gt tee'd in am some get cut.

thanks thats what i had thought. You guys are a real help.i took off the mpi tunner soo i can get the car running again but now the air/fuel meter is not working and its runing very rich. Any ideas why? thanks again.

The gauge seems to be working at time bt it only reads lean and the it disapears again. But the car is running sso rich now that I can still taste it.

Sounds like either some sensor isnt hook back up or the sensor is messed up. CHeck the solders on the 1st o2 or the pink/blue wire. IF they are cold and dont conduct, then the car will go into limp mode and spray a s*** load of fuel due to it not knowing what the afr's are.

Need help ASAP! Wired in the mpi now car wont start. Did it exactly how the instructions state only problem is there is one wire not hooked up to anything i believe its the TPS wire engine side is not connected.

Read the code today it was a P0134 O2 1 inactive. I know somewhere in the harness it's not making contact. The wire at the ECU harness for this is pink and blue then, I need to check up on that then.

The TPS is a brown with a yellow stripe (pin 89) and there is a brown MPI wire that gets Tee'd onto this wire. You can't tune without this step because the MPI will not know the TP.

Ok heres my question i have a few supporting mods on my car. how well does the MPI work to tune my car?
Can i tune it myself on my laptop?
Can i dload new maps and modify as needed?
Where can i get maps?
Is it better than the unichip?

My mods are:
Subaru 440cc injectors
Hiboost FMIC kit
Injen CAI
Exhaust(in a month)
Turbosmart boost controller

Things i dunno if i need but have:
Fuel pressure regulator
Greddy profec b ebc

how well will the Mpi work with these?

Can i tune it myself on my laptop? yes
Can i dload new maps and modify as needed? yes
Where can i get maps? This thread, forum, members running mpi tuner
Is it better than the unichip? Total control...I would say it is becuase you do not have to pay someone to change your map. Unichip is great too if you dont have the time to tune or wire. YOu will be gettting your hands dirty with the mpi, if this is what you do not want to do, save yourself the trouble.

My mods are:
Subaru 440cc injectors - MPI can control them, but the car will work better with stock injectors and extra injectors.
Hiboost FMIC kit cool
Injen CAI cool
Exhaust(in a month) get this asap
Turbosmart boost controller

Things i dunno if i need but have:
Fuel pressure regulator no need
Greddy profec b ebc no

how well will the Mpi work with these?

I have one FS...(poke)

I have an idea. Who is really experienced with tuning MPI, and would like a free condo to stay at on the famous, beautifu, Daytona Beach, FL? You fly down here, tune my baby, and stay on the beach for teh cheap? *ahem* dino... *ahem*

... it's worth a shot

moeed i cant see the new instructions the link isn't working

Try to do a save target as or a save link as and save the instructions to your computer. They are a word doc file.

Well im havivng trouble loading the map because i cant get a connection? Can anyone help mw outy on this, I tried all the comm ports but theres no communication. Any help would be appreciated!!

well i finally got the car running . i loaded a base map that i found here and the car ran like garbage dumping lots of fuel it seemed like. i went ahead and turned on the lamda features. the car ran fine for a little while about 30 seconds or so then it stalled after that it startsd and stalls. if i reset the ecu it will run again for 30 seconds and die out again but it is idling fine when it is running .. is there anything i have to do to correct this . thanks

Set your fuel cal. Its under the global settings. your analog out needs to be between 2.00 and 2.08.

If that does not work, check your maf wiring.

If you have a used MPI and cannot get 2-2.08 analog out volts at idle, put the MAF circuit back to stock. If it runs fine when you do that, then you have a missing resistor or falty connection.
