FREE MPI help!

6psi you'll be fine on stockers... You can do about 10-12 psi pretty safely on stock injectors with good tuning (I've eeked out 14 psi on stockers without a ton of problems on a GT28 swapped T25)... after that just bump to 440's... there are some 3XX (360??) sized injectors out there but I wouldn't bother.

I also have a BEGI FMU... So I can stay with the stock injectors, great!
One less thing on the list.
Thanks again Steve

Bigg Tim could you explain why it's recomended to run the extra injector set-up instead of the bigger injectors? I dont mind if you need to get technical.
Thanks

On the MPI, it is better to run stock injectors with xtra injectors so you get stock driveability outside of boost and get all the xtra fuel you need in boost. The MPI lets the stock ECU do it's thing to control the stock injectors outside of boost so that is less tuning to do. Then when you need the xtra fuel, the xtra injectors will add it.

It is less to tune using the xtra injectors, you only use 1 map. Also, if the MPI were to control the stock injectors, then they would fire in batch mode like the Haltech. It is much better to have them firing in sequential mode. Why put in bigger injectors and tune the hell out of it to get it to run like stock outside of boost when you can just leave well enough alone? The Mazda engineers did a fine job getting all around drivability tuned out. Adding xtra injectors will give you plenty of fuel, enough to get over 330whp.

Yes 1 in each running is optimum, but it's cheaper to do pre-throttle body.

You can ALSO do the antilag trick with the MPI and extra injectors in the runners, the bad thing is that the MPI is slow to do big timing changes required for this, but it helps when shifting in high rpms.

well i guess not having 2 white wires off the NA module wont help when it comes to finding one long and one short white wire...
Plus now i have some other directions too that dont have the NA or any mention of a turbo module either....

Step 9 should have 2 white wires, that is to manipulate the O2 sensor. Everything else looks right. Step 13 is referring to teh red wire on the little black box, whereas step 1 is referring to teh red wire on teh actual MPI harness. What else is giving you troubles?

sorry but I dont know what you mean by antilag.

Antilag...to keep the turbo spooled up while shifting, specially for us that want to take good care on the transmission gears and running big boost and/or big turbos, so when re-engaging and accelerate again you will have instant power, instant boost; no lag.

Also good if you dont have a two-step opt. setup on a standalone and run moderate to big boost.
