FREE MPI help!

I Need Some Help Before I Blow Up My Protege

IF U CAN... I NEED SOME HELP FIGURING OUT WHAT I'VE DONE WRONG 2 MY 2003 MSPROTEGE. I HAVE HARD PIPES, BOOST CONTROLER, COLD AIR INTAKE, Gready BLOW OFF VALVE AND A TURBO TIMER. SOME HOW I GOT MY VACCUM HOSES ALL MIXED UP... IT STILL RUNS, BUT IT SCARES ME 2 DRIVE IT EVEN 2 WORK, 7 MILES AWAY... I'VE LOOK EVERY WERE 2 FIND A DIAGRAM, BUT CAN'T FIND 1. I NEED 2 KNOW HOW 2 CONNECT THE VACCUM HOSES CORECTLY. BEFORE SOMETHING SERIOUS HAPPENS. IF U CAN, PLEASE SEND A DIAGRAM 2 MY EMAIL... NUWEST00520041@YAHOO.COM THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP.

MOG BURKE--This is thread is for the MPI tuner piggyback computer. I do not have a vacuum diagram to help. Maybe someone else here can help with that or try http://protege5.ugly.net/ it's a shop manual online.

Ok,

This thread is open for business again, but 30 minute of my ******* life are gone. Let's keep the personal attacks out, and stay on topic. Opinions are one thing, but direct attacks are another. If I have to spend another 30 minutes cleaning up bulls*** again, I will ban someone. By bulls***, I mean anything that is not on topic, or is an underhanded attempt to throw the thead off course. BT thanks for the help yesterday tuning Moeed's car. We have a really good tune working out, but we had to stop due to the fact he threw a CEL for no cat. So once he gets the Mil fix for that we can then complete his tune...

No problem. Did you guys do that anti-fouler trick or no?
 
We tried one fouler, but we think it was too close to the exhaust gases. I bought a longer tapered one and will try that.

Edit: oh yea, thankx for the tuning help, learned a lot, we are getting closer to get this puppy running like it should (headbang)

Werd, the ride I had at 5 PSI yesterday was pretty nice. Your s*** spools INSTANTANEOUSLY!!! (eek2)(eek2)

you shoulda felt teh 10 psi, nice smile on my face :), my boost will hit 10 and be solid. Im kind of worried though once i get my exhaust on how much higher that will go. Might need an mbc to TURN DOWN the boost (rofl)
 
can't turn down boost past the set amount from the actuator. We can however adjust your actuator arm and reduce the amount of boost it allows. I'm going to lowes today to make me a custom adjustable bracket for my actuator out of door hinges or something I find sutiable.

Man you should feel how fast my setup spools witha 3" exhuast. He is running the stock P5 exhuast, so the turbo is being held-up becuase of that bottleneck

The anti fouler trick is supposed to be with 2 antifoulers with one of them being drilled out. No wonder why you got a CEL.

moeed--Have you contacted Nick to find out what the spring pressure is in the WG? Since you do not have the MSP ECU, you may not have enough fuel without the xtra injectors. On Jeph's car, I started to BARELY run out of fuel at 7psi using just his TM. I added a little fuel via the xtra injectors to compensate up top. The MSP's are already so pig rich, they can go higher with just the TM.
 
(duh) okay, will try the other antifouler. I have to look at my afr's to tell ya, and I'll send nick an email about the w/g. Apoc was in the tuning seat, chime in rich if you know.
 
he was running out of fuel, so I told him to get his extra fuel injectors he has setting there installed ASAP... around 7psi at around 4000rpm and up...

We need to adjust the actuator to prevent it from going over 5psi and when he is ready he can use the EBC to adjust for additional psi...

I have my stock exhaust too, and really need to get that changed... Spool up is super quick though.
At my altitude, i think i could run the 9lbs that i'm running now without the extra injectors cause i've pulled most of it out anyways. I can't wait til the spring when i get my boost controller and start boosting 15 lbs daily (rockon)

So what was the highest number you had on the xtra injector when you got it? I think I had 30's or so the last time I messed with it.
 
Right now I have 15's in the extra injectors up top. Starting about 5500 rpms and up full throttle, and tapering off as the throttle position decreases
 
You guys oughta see my map, with the turbo module turned off I still have negatives throughout the whole map, at wot i'm still holding about 10.3 on the wideband. Its time to lean it out a little more.
