Correction: The concensus is not to use the 7lb. Fidanza flywheel. Most tuners out there almost never go below 9lbs. for their flywheel upgrades. I have never heard of a problem using the 9lb Fidanza flywheel on any car.

ya stay away from 7lb. too many agree with that. 9lb or higher. resurfacing the stock flywheel is so ehhhhh....definitely upgrade. people feel a HUGE difference. I get my car back in 2 weeks after a 4 month hiatus, can you feel the excitement in the air?????

The lighter the flywheel, the more torque you`re taking away. Get a 4 puck clutch! MUWAHAHAHA!

The only problem with a 7lber would be down shifting. The RPMs will drop fast, but that's nothing you wont get used to. There was a guy in Dallas that had on in he's P5 and it was turboed and he liked it.

i dunno, i loved 7lb flywheel.
got ACT street + Fidanza put in at the same time.

car came alive!
was so much more fun to drive.
took a week to get used to.

I just finished installing my new Exedy clutch from JDM Sam this afternoon (he could tell you which one I got, can't remember). It drives like a new car compared to the stage 5, 3-puck unsprung Bully unit I pulled out. I also had my flywheel resurfaced by a large local shop that only does clutch and flywheel work. They did an excellent job.

FWIW, you could always run the middle ground and have your stock flywheel lightened. Mine was already done when I bought it and I have no idea who did the work, but it appears to be of very good quality. I should have weighed it while it was out of the car again, but forgot to. I can definitely tell a difference over the stock flywheel (revs quicker), but it still operates very smoothly.

PM me if you want my pics of the lightened flywheel next to my factory unit for comparison. Someone out there should be able to do the work, and it should be much cheaper than an aftermarket unit.

Installing this combo as we speak. This worked REALLY well with my old Civic with Acura power. And for the one of the previous posts here, Spec flywheels are supplied by Fidanza.

lightning your stock f-wheel is a good idea....BUT!
you have to be very carefull and go to a shop that has done it numerous times with minimal failure rate, because balancing it WELL takes a lot.
