i took that to mean it doesn't have to be a picture OF a reflection, just of somethign that can create a reflection....splitting hairs much ;)

The lights hits the red filter (which I made B&W in photoshop) and it "reflected" the image of a heart in the crease of the book.

Yeah, not to be an ass,(poke) but technically, it refracted the light, or cast a shadow of a heart, nothing is being reflected here. But it's a cool picture, either way!

I never said I was "the judge"... I'm sorry I said anything... Gosh! (hand)

I guess I should have been a bit more clear....

I was thinking more along the lines of what Nate is saying: A reflection of any object (or thing) in another object. I try not to give too much restriction on contest topics, as it feel it takes away from people's ability to "think outside the box". Many of you did capture pictures of what I would consider "reflections". Others did not seem like reflections to me, but I don't have final say... The members of this community have final say, in the voting thread :)

Those Bionicles are pretty neat. :)

NOTE: This is not my entry! Just the other pic I'd considered submitting. My official entry is on Page 2.

That is an awesome pic! I would vote for this one had it have been your entry pic...

Just curious, I don't want to rock the boat or anything but would anyone be in favor of unretouched pics only the only exception being greyscale or should the rules just be left as they are and let the voters decide? I'm open to either one.

Funny! Technically, I suppose any picture would represent reflection, since the very nature of sight is that we see the light reflected off of the object. Even something really flat black, if we can see it, is reflecting light!

Cool from one of my latest projects. I had to make the picture so much smaller but enjoy. If its too large on here I will downgrade to an even smaller version, just less impact.

DETROIT_PANO2.jpg

Excellent!

Thank you. I'm working on a 28 pic panorama that is going to be a huge wall picture of Detroit. That was only a simple 2 pic stitch.

Here is a picture from Sydney Australia that I took in Jan 2006.
