03P5

I was just browsing the Mazdaspeed section, and they got a new axle-back pipe that apparently sounds good, and doesn't have a 4" tip on it.

I was under the impression the Racing Beat catback from that car would fit our P5, does this mean that this new axle back would work as well?

I really want a low growl, not much drone, and no 4" exhaust exit, and this sounds like it.

?

Thanks,

Ryan

it'll fit if you want an extra 4" of pipe hanging out. are you talking about 4" tip diameter or 4" tip length? the p5 is shorter than the sedan, so if it fits flush against the sedan's rear bumper, it'll protrude on the p5 by about 4". good luck. racing beat makes a cat back specifically for the p5, by the way... in case you didn't know, that is.

the racing beat from the MSP & the racing beat for the P5 are
different. I think the sedan tips are longer than the p5s so
you would probably have to hack it a little.

[edit - dang tonkabui beat me to it]

Darnit. I mean tip diameter. I really can't stand canistor exhausts or the big 4.5" Greddy tips. I guess I'm going to have to make my own exhaust.

Thanks,

RYan
