Exhaust Depot!

There is a company down here in florida by me that is using my car to make a prototype exhaust. The guy that was working on my car yesterday said that they plan on making 2 or 3 systems, which ever works best. They are hopefully finishing it up this weekend to send out for the actually exhaust. So if anyone is interested in this exhaust when it completly done i can see what the prices and everything are going to be.

Oh by the way, the guy frank that worked on my car is routing a front mount intercooler for it, hopefully at the same time.

Also, He said that he is going to try and make a header for the car as well.

When everything is done ill post some pictures of it for everyone to see.

That's sweet. By any chance this guy making it wouldn't have a SRT-4 or have worked on one. On the SRT-4 site they have a guy with the screen name Exhaust Depot and he was making a prototype for his car.

Yea thats him, his name is Hector. That car is so incredibly fast he pulled a 14.1 at the track by us, which is where i met him. I was very impressed with that car, looks so sick. Except for the wheels.

I forgot to mention that they already made a "prototype" for a CAI for the car. Its on my car right now, im getting better responses from the car and can hear the turbo spoolin a lot better. I'm not real sure if they are going to start making the CAI yet. they just threw it together in about an hour. Ill try to post some pictures of it in a day or two.

man that's awesome. I was really considering an SRT-4 but just the fact it doesn't have as many "features" as our cars. I guarantee those are hella fast though. So will they be able to ship these exhuast, since i live in ohio?

I'm not real sure what the whole deal is with shipping and what not for it. Im going over to the guys house on thursday so ill find out and post it then.

Ok that's cool then. At least we got some people starting to mod. I hope by the summer theres a lot of parts and stuff out.

thats so incredibly fast????:wtf:

god forbid you ever make it to a real track and see an import like a street legal supra or RX-7 tear down the track in 10 seconds.

Actually for a bone stock neon, i would have never figured that they would have came out with a 13-14 sec. neon.

And for the price they're charging for it, that is pretty ****** good.

oh btw we have 10 sec street cars out there all the time

A 14 second neon, costing 19,995, and being purely stock is pretty damn fast to me. Plus there are uprgrade kits coming out from mopar and that thing should be in the low 13's. That's fast for a daily driver. And yes I've been to many drag races and have seen cars run 9's and 10's.

don't get too defensive. you just sounded in awe at a 14 sec car so i figured you'd soil yourself when you saw something really cool

I am interested is a dual exhaust like the one on the wings west protege. Or at least a look alike dual exhaust.

Sorry if it sounded like i was pissed, its just that i was shocked that dodge would actually come out with a fast neon comparing it to the old neon which is just as fast as my remote control car.

I can see what they can do about the dual exhaust, but if you want dual exhaust dont you have to cut the opposite side of the bumper like how the stock exhaust comes from.

Im not real sure if we're going to dyno the car or not, but its definately worth a shot. Ill see what they want to do.

What are these exhausts including? Is it a cat-back exhaust, does it have new/higher flowing cats, does it reduce it down to one cat, does it replace and enlarge the downpipe?

Without making a larger/higher flowing downpipe, I wouldn't expect too much of a gain...you have to open up the bottle neck. SpiceyMSP already had a prototype 3" exhaust put on her car and it had no gains, because it stuck with the stock downpipe and cats....you might want to mention that to Hector and maybe he can do something for you there too:D
