Engine Jolt?

Okay to say the least, I've never actually raced before. I was racing a 3000GT VR4 we were nose and nose. I was in 5th going like 110-120 at 6 grand and my car made like a jolt. Then a check engine light popped up for not even a half second. I didn't even have time to see it was there. I've never run the car hard before this and it only has 52k on it. My buddy told me that it was just "breaking it in" since it's never been run hard before. I hope nothing is broke or wrong with it. It acted completely fine after I slowed down and was driving normal.

You need to find out what the check engine light code is.

Can I possibly still look it up in the history of the
ECU since it is no longer on there?

The guy at autozone said he couldn't read it unless it was on. So should I go somewhere else?

I went and had it check. There were none stored in the memory. The guy said it just prolly had a little bit of carbon built up...hmm I hope that's all it was

I believe I have had this happen before as well, I cant remember what it was tho but I have no issues right now. But your friend is wrong as far as breaking it in, the car has 52k miles, there isnt anything left to break in.

well my car is fine now lol and my HPFP gets here tomorrow so if it was a fuel cut I wont have to worry about it every again.

Ahhh there it is it was fuel cut, wow my bad. It happened to me several times but hasnt for a very long time so your ok
