Engine Ground kit

This weekend I installed a custom engine ground kit. This s*** really works. I now have a better throttle response and more get up and go!!!. It also looks really nice. I still have a few more point to tie into. I will post some pictures as soon as I can showing the ground locations.

Yeah, show us some pics! I started another thread concerning the grounding of the throttle body, so I'm curious to see your grounding points.
Thanks!

I completed the install of the grounding kit I made up. It only cost me 50 bucks Canadian. I used 8 gauge red power cable for amps and gold plated ends. I have a total of 12 wires. The right and left hand sides have a main points to tie into (pic #1). and the main points go back to the battery. The left hand point is a battery terminal for a car stereo clamped around the strut bar nut. (pic #2) On the right I just used the stock grounding point. (pic #3) All but 3 wires go from the engine straight to the main posts and then back to the battery. Only 3 are engine to frame connections. Our throttle body is cable controlled not electric so I did not ground it directly . It took me around 4 to 5 hours to lay it out and install it nice and neat. I still might add a few hits since I have some spare wire and connectors. Tell me what you guys think, I would really like to know. This really works!!! I repeat THIS REALLY WORKS!!! Im telling everyone that they have nothing to loose by doing this $50 modification and it also looks nice.

nothing to do with the grouding kit, well almost

Hey i was just wondering what your magnaflow muffler sounded like. I haven't had the chance to hear the flowmaster and magnaflow, just wondering. How much increase in HP do you think you got from the grounding kit??

Why is your AEM intake like that it is supposed to be pointed down? But the ground kit looks kick ass!!

I still don't buy into the whole grounding kit idea. The entire engine and most of it's brackets are already going to conduct electricity just fine on their own. Wouldn't that cause them to function as a ground by default?

Has anyone measured resistance between points on the engine vs. that of the wires being used in these kits? Also has anyone used a multimeter to check for a difference before and after these kits.

How about a dyno result before and after? Seeing as these kits are so simple to install, I would imagine that the next person to dyno their car on the forum could probably do it.

I don't think anyone here has run dyno's w/ a grounding kit yet...but they might have. Run a search if you get a chance. A bunch of mags have run dyno's though, and they do see HP increases similar to those from an intake (2-5 hp). It's such a novel concept, I know...but it seems to get the job done. I'm nt gonna argue with people's results, that's for sure. One of my next mods for sure!

I have a areo speed kit. Im not going to claim and horse power gain. but the main thing i notice and like. is the motor is smoother. I have the awr motor mounts, put this ground kit on and smoothed it out.

Ooh, I've been meaning to ask someone who installed those motor mounts a question. After you installed them, did you notice more vibration? When/If my stock mounts need to be replaced, I'll probably use them.

Adding more ground to a engine can never hurt. Grounding through the frame is good but just good enough. Yes the AEM intake is made to run downward but it was sucking hot air from the rad so I moved it up. I will buy a 90 degree piece of aluminum tubing and change it to a CAI soon. I will get a sound clip of the Magnaflow muffler for you guys. :D
