Yet another person with the Suspension Dots in the wrong place.

Did you install Loweing Springs?

The Dot that is visible on your pillow mount should be 90 Deg CCW. Unless you like your tires bald and your camber out to lunch..

i got a aem sri, thunder headers, custom magnaflow cat-back exhaust, magnecor wires, and awr motor mounts and side inserts which really make a difference.

sharp , motor mounts really make a diff ?

motor mounts make a huge difference in putting the power down to the road. The stock mounts are crap, they crack and tear and are like jello. You will get a lot of wheel hop if you do any kind of racing, or if the tires break loose in the rain. Be prepared for a shakey car though, a lot of engine vibration gets translated through the mounts into the frame of the car

Congrats on your new parts. Looks like you need to clean the motor!

PS Sign up for my raffle anyone!

The Paint dots on the top of the struts are supposed to go out and back..

It Out towards the side and rear of the car on a 45 Deg angle.

Have you ever goten an alignemnt done?

how does turing the upper strut bearing plate adjust camber? it will sit in its normal postion reguardless of where the dot is. my dot isnt where it was prior to installing my lowering springs and my camber and caster are fine. i have the print out to prove it

How can I be offended, it's your car... Have a look at the clearance around the top of the mount to the frame.... It will not be the same gap all the way around... If you put the dot where It's supposed to be it will be uniform.

Is the car used? It is possible that it was curbed and the alignment shop applied camber to bring the front into alignment, that's truly what the dots are for.

THE BOLTS ARE "OFF CENTER" TO THE MOUNT.

It is a CAMBER Adjustment.

Underdrive crank pulley such as Unorthodox Racing or RR Racing or OBX (I think) complements the header by giving back a small amount of low end torque. AWR & RR make motor mount inserts - go with softest durometer & start with the front one since it seems to make the most difference & is easiest to get to. See if the increase in vibration is tolerable before doing the rear one. And yes, the dots are supposed to matter as has been said. I'd check into what may have happened to make them be out of position to get good alignment. Look at an online manual under front suspension, front shock removal/installation. If you do a search in here for manual you'll probably find many links to one. If it didn't matter then I tend to believe there wouldn't be a dot on it to begin with.

they really do make a difference. i have the front and rear motor mounts and they caused a lot of vibration, but when i put in the side inserts the vibration was just a little more than stock when at idle!!!! except when the car has a full load on like the ac/heat, radio, defroster.
