Now that I have your attention I need HELP! I have my motor out and was going to swap my transmission from my old engine to my new engine but the trans will not seperate from the old one. Anyone that has the service manual, could you post up the page or pages or e-mail it to me on how to take the trans off of the engine.... PLEASE! Right now I have unbolted all of the bolts holding the trans onto the motor and when I try to pry the trans from the motor it will seperate about 1mm or 2 and spring back together. Yes I did take off all of the bolts.

I just need to know ASAP cause I took off of work the past couple of days and will have to go back tomorrow so I want to get it done tonight if posible. Thanks for anyones response that will help me out!!!

Anyone!? Please!....

The manual has this for order of removal:

1. Speedometer sensor connector
2. Neutral switch connector
3. Back-up light switch connector
4. Clutch release cylinder
5. Extension bar
6. Change control rod
7. Tie-rod end ball joint
8. Lower arm ball joint
9. Drive shaft
10. Joint shaft
11. Engine mount bracket
12. Engine mount member
13. Engine mount
14. Other engine mount bracket

This is for manual transmission. Is that what you've got?

Yeah I have a manual. Here is the where I'm at right now. The motor and trans is out of the car on the ground. I took off the 6 bolts holding the trans to the motor. I can jiggle (sp?) the trans around and it will seperate about a couple of centimeters apart but will not come totaly seperate from the motor. The clutch fork is floating around so I know that it is not stuck on the throw out bearing. Just for some strange reason the trans will not come off!!! Is there some thing I am missing here?

If you've got all the bolts out and the slave cylinder disconected, have a freind giggle the tailshaft end of the tranny while you "gently" pry the bellhousing back. You'll need a long pry bar to get some good leverage. Sometimes tranny's like to stick around the pilot bushing and hang on the input splines. Just be sure to work around in a circle when you pry and not just on one side.

Here ya go:

Thanks everyone for your help! I got the trans off last night. I think it was sticking on the pilot bushing. What I did was hook up the trans to my enigne hoist and hoisted that sucker up in the air and then it engine stayed on the ground and the trans came off and was hanging from the engine hoist. Yes I was pissed at the time and was about ready to start sledge hammering the block to get it apart. But came to my senses and worked smarter not harder. Thanks everyone for your help!

I'm glad it came off...I was hoping that Mazda wouldn't use that "******* miraculous glue" that the damn oil pan was/is sealed/welded on with.

Amen brother! I accually had to slightly bend the corner just to get that damn oil pan off! I bent it back straight though, and sealed the hell out of it!
