I'm looking to get an EBC, so just wondering what you guys think is a good, relatively inexpensive one. Also, where's the best place to buy online. Thanks.
You can buy a range of EBCs (Blitz, Apex'i, Greddy, HKS) at:unwrittenLaw said:I don't know if I wanna get a used one, just in case it goes bad..can't return it under warranty. Especially if you bought it off ebay, I guess some manufacturers won't replace items bought off ebay..
Went to EDO Performance's website, here's what happened:CRDMS1 said:You can buy a range of EBCs (Blitz, Apex'i, Greddy, HKS) at:

They are located in Austin, TX. I've used them before and prices/service are excellent. I am debating between the AVC-R and SBC I-D III.
Peace...(hippy)

I placed an online order for a Profec B spec II, didn't get any email invoice or confirmation. So about 2 hrs later I email them, asking whats up. Another couple hrs pass. Then I get an email from them stating they don't have them in stock and they're waiting for a shipment from Japan. But they can get me one from a local store for more money. I check my credit card online, and they've already charged it. So I email them back and ask if the new price includes shipping and how fast can they get it out. Its been about another 2 hrs and I probably won't hear anything from them today since its after business hours now in TX......pretty ******* gay if you ask me...
Maybe its me, but I'm used to fairly fast transactions on the web, and how long does it take to at least shoot out an email to let me know whats going on. Like I'm not worthy of 30 ******* secs to send an email....
hallman's are suppossedly the best, and they have the cockpit-adjustable one. Though 80 bucks for a line is pretty damn expensive. A used EBC is definitely the way to go. Profec-B usually is simpler and has less quirks. Alot of people have problems with spec II remembering the boost it ran before it was turned off last, but it's just a setting. Another plus is you can usually find a used profec b for about 160, which isn't too bad considering a dual stage mbc is pretty close in price.Matthew said:yea right now im using a joep mbc which sucks. i dont care how many people give good reviews it still sucks.
and if you plan on putting in a turbo its the biggest pain in the ass (as opposed to already having one in the MSP)...i was trying to tune my car and the thing takes about 1/1432910732097213097409213874 of a turn to give you 1-2 PSI sometimes and then several times i barely turned it and i boosted 10-11 PSI (OUCH!). plus its a pain in the ass to drive down the road and stop in every parking lot to hop out, open the hood, and adjust the controlller. i was going to run the vacuum lines inside the cab and into my arm rest storage area but no one around here sells long enough pieces of vacuum line, and im lazy.
