Well, it is going to be an early Christmas for me! I'm getting a 2008 MS3! I currently drive a 2003 Protege 5 and I have been having some problems with my left headlight. For some reason the left side was drawing to much power and melted the socket. I took it in and they tried a whole bunch of s*** to get it fixed but with no luck. I have been driving around for quite a while with one head light and I can't do it forever. I tried fixing it myself by just replacing the socket but electrical is complicated. When doing so the low beams and hi beams would be on at the same time with no fog lights (yes I checked the switch). So I took it in to have someone with the schematics for the electrical look at it, no such luck. I was going to be in the market for an MS3 in the Spring but looks like it is coming early. The Protege 5 was good to me but I can't lie, I'm not going to miss it. Now this problem is theres! Sorry to ramble on and on, but damn I'm excited and my girlfriend has heard enough of me haha. So I came here to share my excitement. The salesman is going to track down a white MS3 for me tomorrow and get back to me. I have been lurking on this site for quite sometime reading up on the MS3. I am installing the MS CAI before I even drive it off the lot. So much debate on here with the MS CP-E I just don't know if its really worth it, plus the dealer wants a s*** load for it ( I don't want to start another thread on this but any advice would be helpful). Well you guyz are great on here and there is so much information, thanx. So nice to research information and here from current owners about a car before you even look at it. I'll keep ya posted!

white will not be available for a few months. but congrats on getting one. you're going to love it. the dealership should be able to order one just like you want though.

ahhhhhh well i retract my previous statement. congrats blake! didn't the ms3 get poor reviews in europe? i think i remember one review from england where they bashed it pretty hard.

Haha! Ya I'm in London, Ontario. Yet to see one up close (a white one), they are different then the Crystal White 3? Salesman at Bank's said he hadn't seen one up close either. They are a small town dealership so they don't have a high volume of cars. I'm not buying from Probart Mazda in London. Thanx - I barely slept last night. I didn't think I'd be this excited haha!

I looked up your schematic if you need it, and also found that these cars can have a bad ground, which would cause that wire to heat up and melt. FYI.

Ya and it snows 11 months out of the year haha! It's all good I don't know much about the States. Thanks for looking that up I figured that's what it was a bad ground somewhere but not my problem anymore. Picking up my CWP MS3 on Tuesday, can't wait. Bye bye Protege 5!
