Dyno #'s Mazdaspeed FMIC

So how does the turbo to intercooler pipe run?

Britt

For everyone who wants a GB, Procarparts is PROTOTYPING the FMIC, they are not manufacturing it, and I doubt MS will sell it through them. Correct?

yeah that sounds about right. is there even a timeline for this product? like how long from prototype to production?

Well some of us waited for 8 months for our MSPs after we put our deposits down, so I figure maybe by Christmas. Then of course we'll know more about it than the dealers we have to order them from.

I don't think Procarparts is prototyping it, they are reveiwing it to provide feedback. I think above in the thread it does say that it is Mazdaspeed engineered using thier CAD design programs.

heres another pic from protegefest. I think other users might have more pictures of it.

about twice as thick i think... somewhere around 3". Linux and SuttersSC(sp?) made a thread in the performance section and had pics of the thickness.

Dunno. Hehe. Ill have to see what I have here. that compares to it.

I was lookin at speeds.

Stock I/C at Stock boost went 65 - 106 in 15 secs.

FMIC at 9psi went 65 - 106 in 11 secs.

Whoa 4 sec difference. Keep in midn these arent 100% accurate.

Thanks to Vic (Dr. Sound) he has provided more Pictures for you guys on the FMIC. First Page.]

Heres a dyno graph i typed up.

can you let mazdaspeed usa know about the clearance issues? coming from the company/team that use/used the high performance radiators it may have an impact as the FMIC is for "serious" racers :) thanks for all the info and constant updates!

2 years ago this looked so promising... how much we've learned though!
