These are the results of my last Oil change and tire Rotation. I had been toying with the idea of plastidiping the wheels since i bought the vehicle. And so while completing my pre winter oil change and while rotating the wheels i decided there would be no better time than then to clean and dip them. Results as below...

Seems i'm turning into some kinda dip fanatic.

Total cost of this project about $20. Took about 3 hours from start to finish including dry time between coats (5 in all ).

Original Plasti-Dip. Off the shelf at Home Depot. I may do the glossifier in the future if i get tired of the matte black. But for now i'm liking the matte

Looks tough. Any plans to dip some chrome? I'm curious to see a CX-9 with the chrome smiley face dipped :D

Thinking about doing my 20's? Did you do yours on the car or did you remove them? Thinking it would be a good change. I have a silver 08 cx9 gt

If you want to get rid of the 20"s, (before you dip them that is) I'd be interested. Thanks!

i took them off the vehicle and applied total of 5 layers while doing an oil change and some other maintenance. For me it was easier because i didn't want to have the headache of cleaning the overspray off the rotors and other brake hardware as well as risking getting dip on the paint and having to clean that off as well. Also you will have to decide what you want to do about the Lug Nuts. I kept mine chrome as the dip would inevitably rub off with use. Used quarters in the holes to keep the mating surfaces clean.
