We've started looking into getting a dyno and I wanted the input of some of the people who extensively use or own dynos...Namely things to look for, type pros and cons, etc...We went and looked at a used dynojet in Daytona the other day, but other than that we havent really be able to find anything local used, and wasnt really looking to drop 30K on a new one....

i think it was hot rod magazine that did an extensive comparison on dynamometers. check out the web site.

I would contact Central Florida Turbo (CFT) here in FL.

They just got the first AWD dyno in Orlando. Its up and running.
It is their first dyno but I guess you could ask them some questions.

just do it,it will definately pay for it self in a short while.not only for R&D,but for tuning, and customer dynoing.that s*** is like $150 an hour here for dyno and tune.

Dynojet dynos are 60-70,000 dollars. HUGE investment, but you can charge whatever you want for dyno time, and it will take a few years to make a profit from it.

Heres a few "facts" even though im not an expert.

Dynojets are known for showing larger numbers, but mustang dyno's are supposed to be easier and more accurate to tune with.

hehe I actually found it funny...I tried to find that smiley smacking his head and making the doh sound but i must of missed it so i decided to moon jersey....
