I got accepted to do the summer study abroad program so I leave for Italy May 18th and should be back June 22nd. after that it's all about the turbo.

Hey....I just got an idea....flip the lip over and put in a few vertical supports or the such. That way you keep the nice open space in the middle but keeps it from looking too thin or bottomless in the middle. But ill be there to help you out with this thing soon, we can kick it up a notch! lol.

There are pics somewhere around pages 12-15....maybe you should read the whole thread.

I started the thread with the idea, then I made some siple designs in a CAD program (there are pics of that), then I made the final CAD design (there are pics of that too), and finally I made the foam prototype model of which I uploaded pics the same day I made it. Pages 12 and 13.
What moew do you want pics of???
I havent done anything else after the foam one.

Ah, I see them now, hiding on page 12. This is actually a very good idea. I had a lip on my 'stang, and always wondered why I couldnt just make one. The only problem is fiberglass is unforgiving if you hit something, and curbs become your worst nightmare. What if the very bottom was a layer of metal, an it was braced behind with metal rod?
