Custom FMIC

What kind of log are you looking for? I can do one tomarrow.

True. Seems like 90% of the cars entering are protege's. Time for us to show them who is boss :)

if it makes anyone feel better i spanked a modded one a few times at the 1/8th mile a few weeks back

It will drop even more with a IM spacer and coolant bypass. It was 92 out this weekend. Driving around my BAT's were 112-118. tonight it was 70 out. BAT's cruising was 89.

Qwik, I'm interested in the coolant bypass, got a how-to and/or pics?

and i walked away from an 04 mustang gt with a full tank of gas and 2 other people in the car and im (my car) bone stock. (enguard)

but thats not what this thread is about.

How hard was it to mod the civic washer tank Qwik6? or BoostedSpd6?

All you have to do is drill the 2 new holes for the washer pump and level sensor. Then plug the two holes that are there already.

Tunersteve: I dont have a how-to on this since I didn't take pictures when doing it. But it's very simple. All you need is two caps to cover where the coolant lines run to the throttle body. On some how-to's they say to get a union and join the 2 lines together. I felt it wasn't necessary. The line running from the left of the throttle body is long enough to reach where the one from the right goes. Just remove the right side line and discard. Then run left side to new spot and clamp down.

For some wierd reason mine is leaking right there. I dont know why since the lines are the exact same size and so are the clamps. But the transmission is green. lol I may need to re-group on this idea with a smaller hose that will hold much tighter since the ones on there are snug.

Where did you get the brackets? Also do you have a link to the IC you purchased? Fitment is awesome! Have you had an issues with couplers popping off after you cut the piping? Very Nice looking install!

Hey Qwick i just bought the same exact intercooler and im waiting for it to come in. My plans though are to try and fab a FMIC kit that i can still use my MSCAI without having to change it to a SRI. Do you think this would be possible? I havent had a chance to look behind the bumper and see what kind of pipes and couplers i could use to do this but i figured if CPE could do it why not. What do you think?

Not sure how that would work since its a tight fit in that area. Here is a pic with the setup. Front bumper and headlight removed.

I think it is possible but you would have to remove the bracket on the CAI and possibly how it connects to the turbo inlet to get it closer to the fuse box. Wish I still had my mscai for a test fit.

Well im thinking of running the pipes on the cold side differently. Im trying to run them the same way the cp-e pipes go through or the corksport one

How did u cut the impact bar can u take some pics and show me I'm curious to see how u did it cause IDE like to not have to cut it if I don't have to thanks

with a grinder.
the crash bar is not fully solid but essentially 2 sections in a D shape with a connector in the middle.
One can just trim it right down the middle to get the extra inch he got.

You actually get about 2 or 2.5" more. I used a reciprocating saw. It was a fight getting it cut but I got it done. That along with triming out 2 rows on the plastic grill in the front of the car.
