Custom Engine Swap

:
Mazda, Protege5
Just started looking at some things that I could do to the car and I have a plan some what drawn out to take the P5 and do full swap with a 4g63t engine and drivetrain. With some custom motor mounts and some modifications to the underside of the car I think it would be possible to have an awd protege5. But just wanted to see what every one else thinks about it. Like I said i want to do a 4g63t full conversion with a gt35r turbo set up. On pump gas and meth injection I would like to make around 550 to 575 horsepower and 650 to 675 on race gas. I think it would be a nasty little sleeper and no one would ever see it coming.

With enough money, anything is possible. But we're talking tens of thousands of dollars here.

No offense, but I'll believe it when I see it. Several people have talked about building an AWD Protege, but it was never done. And this was not even with an engine swap, just using the parts from the Sport20 (which was made and sold in Japan with an AWD factory option).

This same topic has been brought up several times but with the money you may spend doing this, you could go out and buy the whole Evo instead of just the motor and trans. But good luck and if you go through with this, post lots of pix

awd swap was actually done....i seen it on here a while back but the guy was like an aircraft mechanic and master welder....there are motors you can swap in, there is some one attempting a b-16 right now. it all boils down to money....do you really want to throw 10 G's into sport wagon? yea it would be cool, but you really have to know what your doing.
