marathon update...return of the misfire
Thanks for the support guys. Well, here's a mixed update:
Once upon a time, I had a second O2 sensor placed behind my hi-flo cat using an MSP extension harness. Fast forward 2 years or so, and the harness has managed to get free and is hanging down sometimes dragging on the ground. I take up the slack in the line but never "inspected" for damage. Well, it shorted out and blew out the fuseable link in the ECU wiring harness (UGH!).
I had it TOWED to the mechanic, who figured out what happened and fixed it. (chair)
I also badly need to get passed at state inspection. I've already racked up 2 tickets and 2 warnings for my expired inspection.
For starters, we HAD to quiet her down. Chris (mechanic) suggested DYNOMAX mufflers for their superior flow (mo' CFM).
I ordered up a threesome, 2 bullet mufflers, installed inline as resonators/pre-mufflers and an UltraFlo canister. All 2-1/2" diameter.
He replaced everything rearward of the cat. New metallic core cat when the snail goes in. Ractive can was cut off, probably killing its resale
Anywho, it attracts much less attention now than it did with the Fart Can buzzing away. Still loud in the cabin but has a deeper tone from outside. You can still tell when I floor it that it ain't stock (angel). But, it should appear stock enough to pass inspection. I hope.
Well, I also need to clear my CEL for Random Misfires. At this point we think the
very lopey idle is causing the ECU to think it is misfiring. Code goes away at higher idle speeds. Inspection requires 950rpm idle max. We tried restricting the airflow also.
We had thought replacing the screws in the kasman adj cam gears might help the CPS pickup get a good reading. We are still waiting for some assorted sizes to arrive. The screws it comes with may be a lower quality steel.
This morning the squeely alt belt shredded

We knew it was getting chewed up. Damn these AL pullies! Chris keeps telling me to put the stockers back on.
Decided it was time to bite the bullet and get a "R" inspection Rejection sticker and have them do the belt since its been raining all day.
Brakes are ****** up
again, Lots of new rattles and clunks all over.
oye I need a drink
(beer)
However, I have been picking up pieces for wiring up a sub in the trunk.(ricer)
2 x 10" JL Audios, a Kenwood amp, fuseholder and now just terminals and connectors.

I ordered some #2 gauge battery wire through work for relocating the yellowtop to the spare recess. Probably like to mount it laying flat and I can use the side posts too. (rx7 how to:

Looking into some nice #8 Power and #10 O2 free wires. I may sell my extra here on the forums!
ALSO, I spoke with DocB!! Tom is a great guy and was verying patient with all my questions. I should do a post about my chat with him and what I learned.
Basically, I confirmed that the correct size oil adapter (20mx1.5)
-10 AN lines for oil lines and if I go with an oil cooler/thermostat to route to the PRV first then to filter-thermo-cooler-return.
He also tells me the oil press sending port in the back of the block is a good place to pick up oil to send to the turbo.
I am just concerned about TOO much oil press sent to the turbo.
I did a fair amount of shopping and found a deal on a spin on adapter and remote oil filter mount. I even bought an extra of each to resell.
