ok, as the title says the p5 will be out of commision for a while....i was stopped at an intersection no more than three blocks from my house on a four lane road (two lanes each way)..i'm heading north bound in the left lane waiting to make a left turn..there was a car on the southbound side of the road also waiting to turn left...the road was very busyso i was waiting for traffic to clear in the outside lane so i could make the turn....when i thought the lane was clear i proceeded to turn...but unfortunately for me there was a dodge caravan traveling at about 35 mph that i completely did not see...not to make excuses for my self but my view was shielded by the car that was waiting to turn so i didnt even see the van coming ...he broad sided me on the passenger side...damage was relatively extensive....both passenger doors, the side skirt, rear quarter panel will have to be replaced the side airbag also blew so the seat and interior panels on the passenger side will all have to be replaced, my exhaust was also hangin down about an inch or two off the ground...i don't know if something broke underneath or if it just got knocked off the hanger....the other car had a cracked headlight and the bumper was pushed back, his airbag also blew....i was ok as was the driver of the other car...my sister had to be taken to the hospital just to be checked out because she banged her head pretty good on the window....but she was walking about and appeared to be her normal self so everything should be ok....i wound up getting a careless driving ticket, which sucks but from what the responding officer said, i should be able to get it lowered to a two point ticket if i talk to the prosecuter....i dont know if there was any frame damage but we'll see what the insurance adjuster has to say...i'll try to take some pics tommorrow in the day light
