Cobb AP Discussion Thread

Tune finally settled. Over 300 miles.

I'm not really looking to mess with anything either. If it wasn't done by an expert, I'm not letting my monkey fingers mess with it.

I would just try a Stage 1 93 map for now. You may need to look into an intake to gain more from your car.

I took your advice and switched to the stage 1 93 oct map from mzdspd.com and its working a bit better. With the griffin tmic, i was getting off boost, part throttle knocks a lot... with this 93 map, it pretty much cured that... the problem is still the same when it comes to boost spike though...

its shutting me off about 4500... i hate that feeling... so in other words, i wouldnt be getting on it for the next two weeks until i can get a tune...

I wish I could have someone sit down and show me in person how much to lower the values under the wastegate duty cycle map. My tuner said that should solve the problem... Also, under help in the ATR i found an explaination of what each catagory is/does

Something is off. Since the tune has settled my s*** is running real rough. I just filled up and got 17mpg without any ripping on the car. I average 21-23 all the time.

All the connections on my TIP are good, nothing seems to have fallen off or slipped. (shrug)

Retuned to Stage 2 SF+93, running more like what I was getting.

Is it possible I broke my stock BPV with the extra power? The whoosh when I let off the gas doesn't sound the same. Used to be a crisp whoosh-psssss, now on the pssss side it sounds more rough like it's going through a big plastic airbox.

Well, I don't think the "extra" power had anything to do with it, but it does sound like you have a leak somewhere. If you've had the BPV off, the gasket is likely rolled...

Ok, so the mzdspd stage 1 93 oct map took away the part throttle knocks but the car is still getting fuel cut...

here's a pic of my log... this was a quick 2nd gear pull to figure out what was going on...

you can see around 5100 the car gets fuel cut...

You might be due for fuel pump internals or a HPFP.

whoops... forgot to mention.... i have fuel pump internals... KMD version 2's

car had plenty of fuel pressure until it hit cut...

pressure hit 1800 psi

my car was @ 15psi around 5100rpms... the fuel cut looks as if its set to kick on at 17.8 psi @ that rpm depending on the barometric pressure... im in jax FL so we are pretty much sea level... i guess i'll log Baro pressure next time to see if that plays a factor

Heads up, all the new v1.01 maps, along with the firmware updates are available right now on the Cobb website.

Bova, you gonna have other maps on your site like usual?

hey steve, should i upgrade to the latest firmware? i saw the highest was 1.4.0 on the cobb website... what are you using?

I just updated my firmware, and my AP manager software as well. I recommend updating everything right now, just to be safe.

I've not had a chance to look at their updated specs. Please be sure to post if/when you have the chance to play with the flat foot shifting and launch control and how easy it was to program for it.

Ok, here's the million dollar question: How do you enable LC and FFS with the new maps? Is this based only in ATR, or is it something that we have to wait for in a new map later on?

EDIT: from the release notes, looks like it's enabled/set up in ATR

I just flashed my car to Stage 2 93 v1.01. No driving specs yet, just wanted to see if I could configure the LC and FFS, but no luck.

I would imagine it is an option you have to enable with ATR. Again though, I'm at work and haven't looked at their revised specifications.

I sent in my request for the new ATR, we'll see if I get it and what it entails.

I was hoping it was similar to how the Suby's get it, using the cruise control buttons on the steering wheel to adjust it.

I just updated everything last night. Went to hook up my ap this morning and its saying my dongle is outdated. Told me to unplug it and plug it back in. I am still getting this. Ill try to update it again and see what happens..
