Cobb AP Discussion Thread

Looks alright to me. Doesn't look like you're running into boost creep. You may be slightly overboosting, but nothing to worry about.

Cool.

Is there a "Tables for Dummies" post somewhere? Something that says where you want all of those fields ideally? Which ones are minor and which ones are major if you see something go out of whack?

There's really nothing like that anywhere that I know of. There are Cobb Tuning specifications for analysis of these maps and of actual live data. They are pretty heavy stuff though. So if you're new (like me and 80% of others) I wouldn't recommend screwing with AccessTuner Race.

I have a friend who is an SCT tuner, he knows all of that s***. I mean more for what to watch out for. Like if boost goes to 22 I know that's bad. If your LTFT is -17, is that bad? How bout fuel pressures?

Under WOT you want to keep your fuel pressure above 1650psi to be safe.

Your LTFT's are probably out of whack because you reflashed it and went out and did a pull with it lol. -17 means the ECU is giving you 17% less than what it thought you would need. You need to re-reset the ECU and take it very easy for a little while. Your gas mileage will thank you.

I made up 17, I don't think it's really there.

I'm doing an install of all my new parts at the end of the week, so I'm going to reflash it again after that anyway. I might flash it back to the stock tune program just to see what kind of difference as well. Dunno, I'm going to play with it.

Reviewing your logs, it would seem that you were breaking the speed limit. This is illegal and generally frowned upon. (potkettle)

Everything looks good... AFR maybe a touch lean in a few spots but that may be your fuel trims adjusting... which is part of the reason you shouldn't get on it until after the trims are learned. You know your car is done learning when you turn your ignition key to on, and the check engine light stays solid for 10 seconds or so (it will flash 8 times after a bit if it is still learning). I learned this because my car gave me a vision of it while I was sleeping. Or, I might have just read it somewhere on the forums.

I'll try to continue to move more threads in here as I find them. Any discussion on maps, logs, dyno numbers, etc. should be posted here.

is the air to fuel ratio displayed on my cobb AP correct? Its my understanding that most cars come with a narrow band 02 sensor... so how is cobb getting the AFR's?

We have a wide band O2 sensor already on the vehicle. The DH or AP can read this and display it. I believe it's the second O2 sensor.

4th gear pulls: first is stage 2 TMIC 900 idle second and thrird pulls are the changes i made... i point out the changes i was after making more peak torque way sooner trying to play of that dinky little turbo...

stage 2 alone 270 awhp 320 tq (4th gear)
stage 2 changes 285 awhp 333 tq (4th gear)

well i did a little comparison between the stock O2 (wideband) and my innovate wideband and although at idle it seems to be spot on at WOT tells another story. now wether my 02 sensors are off or wether this be a leading cause of engines popping b/c you think it is doing one thing when really its doing another im not sure yet. i will be purchasing brand new primary and secondary 02 sensors next week i will post my finding! oh ya for example at WOT the stockers reads 10.88 and innovate reads aroung 11.5... sounds like we need to get to the bottom of this.

Did you calibrate the LC1? If you did and it still reads that far off, then I suspect your OEM O2 is flakey. May be low voltage to it? Anyway, my dynojet tailpipe AFR readings tracked the DH readout...

Edit: Also check your rear narrowband O2 output. If the front is indeed "bad", then the rear will show steady either lean or rich and you will get a CEL. My bet is miscalibrated LC1...
