Cobb AP Discussion Thread

I am doing a custom fmic. Ordered most of the parts already. Just need to fab up a pipe and put a stock flange on it for my forge. When its all said and done I will have spent just under 600 bucks. I will post up a thread when I start to tackle this. Engine bay ought to look sick when im finished :)

cant wait to c it. r u a doing side to side set up.:) and maybe you can give the measument so i can do mine. (bow)
 
ye ai heard about that a intercoole right by the 2 side fendors.. like a 2 in 1 thing.. weird.. front is best tho.. its kinda like our cars were made to be upgraded to front ahahha theirs so much space for it and the plastic mesh is perfect for air to go str8 thrue.. I WANT DETAILS SPECS AND ALL OF THAT FMIC QWICK6
 
Im not trying to take credit for this. There is a how-to on another forum from a member about this setup. pm me if any1 is interested in a link. I bought my kit from a guy who had the exact same setup. He had custom brackets made up to mount to the crash bar. The biggest downside to this is the bottom half of the crash bar has to be cut off in order to fit this fmic up in there. When I get home from work I will post pics. So far I ordered the fmic w/ brackets from the guy. Also ordered a set of powder coated black pipes and all red silicone 4 ply couplers. Then I am having the valve cover painted rad to match. Then modifieing my old MS CAI and making that short ram with an aem air straightener. This will be because my current intake will rub the cold pipe.

Should I be changing maps with the addition of an ETS 3.5" TMIC?

I've looked at the MzdSpd.com site and have not found a Stage2+SF 93 TMIC map. Any suggestions?
 
Cobb ap will be comming in couple days..Do I run stage 2 as well? I gutted out my midpiipe instead of buying a testpipe. mods: cobb sri

and btw...cobb says .26-28 spark plug gap...surgeline tuning says .24 on ms3...so what is everyone else running? need good answers before I install the ap. Thank you!!
 
opinions on AP

I plan on gettin a cobb AP soon,and I've seen some posts on how theres no maps for open exhausts.

I had planned on getting AP turbo manifold and DP. front mount and runnin meth.. stock turbo for now .... i already have 2nd cat delete and 3" catback

Sooooo question is do you think im better off keeping stock DP and just doin everything else...... still using tube manifold or skip manifold and Dp all togehther and do everthing else ?
 
In my opinion, it doesn't make much sense to swap the exhaust manifold if you're keeping the stock downpipe.
 
Sounds like I want Stage 2 as well. Where are the 93 maps, I don't see any on Cobb site? Do we have any resident AP tuners on the site or just use eTune from Cobb for $$$?

I recommend the Stage2 93 or the Stage2 +SF 93.

You can modify existing maps using AccessTuner Race from Cobb. It's a free download for the beta as long as you own an AccessPort.
 
Just installed Stage2 93 +SF, check my log.

Trying to figure out how to post this log, how do you guys make the pretty graphs with this thing?

I can't get the xml to go xls so I can attach it, I'm having a brain fart. Any suggestions?

Tried that,

all the Excel types I tried aren't valid. This board will only take xls, and everything I'm saving is xml.

Do you have to load it to a googledoc or something to post it?
