Nice, thats on my to do list as well.

This is an OBX...however even the OBX's aren't 100% worry free...most issues I believe come from people cross-threading the EGR pipes in the first place...

It could easily be an obx knockoff, all the obx i've seen had a plate welded on it that said obx.

I was lurking back a few pages and I noticed the post about trunk leaks. Mines leaking too. Anyone have suggestions on where it would be coming from?

the seam under your tail lights is the likely cause, if the car has ever had any contact in the rear they open up or over time the seam sealer shrinks. Remove the rear lights and you'll see the seam right at the top of the bumper.

What if there is no cracks or anything behind the tails...?

Mine is leaking from the protege emblem on the back left side. Might try checking that

Oh sht. Never thought of that. Ill check that out.
For now, im waiting for some good weather to remove my wing to seal the holes properly since one of the bolts are leaking.

speaking of that, How did you drill the hole for the wiring? I'm picking up the stock wing today from one of the members today and was just curious about that. I know the two holes/bumps on each side is to bolt it down. Also, what size drill bit did you have to use?

Well since the wing i bought didnt have the full wiring harness,i just cut the oem connector and kept the neg/positif wires. I connected some eletrical wires i had left to extend it to my third brake light (which i removed the bulb off)
For the drilling part, if im not wrong, it was a 3/8 drill bit

Mine leaks in this area as well. In my case that black piece you see in your picture was the culprit (still haven't sealed it). On my Protege that piece is a vent that leads to the underside of the car. There is a rubber flap that's supposed to stay in place and prevent water from coming in but over time it wears out. When I drive in the rain the water gets in through there and I end up with a small puddle in the back. You might want to check that out and see if it's cause of your extra moisture.

I got the same leak but mine came from a seal under the car behind the strut. Check if the seal under there is open. Once I sealed mine. Water never got back in.

Alright ill do that in the summer time.
What sealent did u use? And could you be more precise on where exactly it is?

Oh okay. Where is that flap located at?

If you remove that black surround you'll see that the flap is attached to it. My idea was to get a piece of plastic and seal it to that black surround and then seal the surround to the metal. Since it hardly ever rains here in Texas I've been pretty lax about getting to it though. I believe if you look from the underside it's between the quarter panel and the frame.

I just tried removing the black suround but it wouldnt move..? How am i supposed to take it off?

Looks like the build is coming pretty fast! And looking good too! Mine has slowed down plus I have not done much anyway. Haha. Wish I could find some of those rings! Those are sweet! How far out are ya from lowering it?
