Christmas P5....

Hey everyone. I just bought a Laser blue P5 for christmas. I was looking at MSP's but with a 3 month old baby I really like the concept of more room for his crib etc, in the trunk. It is the first mazda and first hatchback i've ever owned. I will get pics after xmas break of it. It's laser blue, 80k miles, has I/H/E, tint(not sure of %), short shift kit, aftermarket clutch (looking for reciept), and was $5,000. I'm excited to pick it up from the dealership on the way home.

Is that the brighter blue? Nice color if so. If you want more power change the intake manifold to a 626 mani.makes a big diff with your mods above 4000 rpm.

wow i wish mine was that cheap with mods from a dealer! congrads, laser blue is the best color!

Here are some of the pictures from when I got it. It is snowing here so I can't really get any pictures. I love this car so far though. No clunks or anything, the only thing i hear is the exhaust because it's got intake/headers/exhaust. The interior is very clean. It drove me to work fine in the snow as well. And the stickers/ms symbols were already on the car, i might take them off but not sure yet. I need to replace the hatch struts as well. It has a cold air intake, and i'm pretty sure it has a bypass valve to keep water out, but i need to look again and get some pictures.

Thanks for the comments. I'm not really fond of the tail lights either, but I dont want to spend the money for new ones quite yet. I would rather save money for things my son needs and then when I have some laying around get new tails. I'm also not too fond of the stock ones though, so again it's a we'll see thing.

Alexelie, I am not sure if it is lowered or not. I have never really seen other P5's except maybe driving on the highway, so I do not know what the stock ride height is. It has stickers that would mean it is, but I am sure not all of those stickers mean the parts are on the car. Any idea of how to tell if it's lowered?

And Romp, i've actually seen your thread and looked at it a bunch of times when I decided on a Laser blue. I really like the white RX-8 rims that you have on it. My wife likes the black better so I figured I'd keep her happy so she likes the car and stops making fun of me for owning a "Station wagon" as she says.

That car looks lowered for sure. You got a good deal that is a nice car. I'm no fan of stickers so the first thing I would do is pull every one off.

Joe - I actually bought the car right outside of Boston. I picked it up in Attleboro on the way home from NY and drove it up to Maine that night. Unfortunately MA does not recognize transit plates so I had to use a plate from my wife's car to get up here.

Village Auto. They share a lot with J+M transmissions. It had 80,009 miles on it when I got it. I found it on Autotrader, and the day after I called the sale price went up from 4995 to their lot price 5995. They had an offer for 5995 that fell through because the guy couldn't get a loan, so they told me they would honor the 4995 price.
